Ellee cried most of the day Monday and all of yesterday. Have you ever been around a crying baby for hours on end? If so, you know how it can wear you out. I was barely hanging on last night when the doctor prescribed her some new formula for the next 48 hours. Last night, she slept like a champ.
McKenzie doesn't seem to like Ellee getting all of the nighttime attention, so she's been getting up in the night for the past couple of weeks on a regular basis. However, last night, not a peep from her.
You would think with our girls sleeping so well that hubby and I would get a good night's sleep - after all, it is much needed. Think again.
This time there was a new star in the nightly show - our dog Weiner. He had the runs, squirts, whatever you want to call it. Starting at 10:30pm he got us up every 15-20 minutes to go outside where he would get sick. I started trying to look at the bright side - at least he's going outside - that was until 3 a.m. when he threw up all over our room! I heard him make those noises, you know what I mean, so I grabbed him and tried to get him off the bed. Big Mistake! It went everywhere. Disgusting!
We had to get up, strip the bed - sheets, duvet cover and even the bed skirt had been hit. Then we had to vacuum and steam clean the carpets (thank Hoover that they make a home steam cleaner.) We threw the comforter and feather bed away and I'm going to have to go find new ones today. I say today because it is so cold without them in this ice tundra we live in.
After the mess was cleaned up - oh yeah and Ellee fed and changed - Weiner and I went to the couch. Apparently, he is fine now. In fact, he's still sleeping on the couch and acted indignant that I would bother him when I had to get up at 6:30am to get the baby!
If it's not one, it's the other.
So, let's see what else had been going on since the last post. Well, my sister came to visit from Texas and we had a really good visit. Hunter's Cub Scout pack had the Pinewood Derby on Saturday for which Phil spent an entire week building the car. They didn't win, but Hunter got a participation trophy, so he was happy.
Here are some pics from the past week:

Holy crap what a disgusting night for you!!! Glad you had a good visit with your sister--I love her hair! She looks great!
I hope you get some good sleep tonight : )
Wow, it stinks to be you-- literally! ;^) Gene thought up a new verse to the "Our Dog Weiner" song, but you probably don't want to hear it...
Hope you get some rest soon.
I loved the pictures!!--But on another note--I know Phil knows where the pound is, and just think how much someone would love a new dog!!!
Oh my goodness...how happy I am that Weiner dog didn't pull that while I was in town. Phil would have probably banished him to the basement with me!
Miss you guys and glad that Ellee is better :)
