Summer is here... I'm sure you can feel it no matter where you are. Every night on the news the 100 degree mark gets a mention and all of the animal/elderly/fluids stories are recycled from last summer with new faces. Hopefully, it won't last too long and delicious fall will make its refreshing entrance.

School starts next Thursday - yea!!!!!!! Sorry teacher readers (especially sis), but your break is over and ours is just beginning! I really liked the year-round school concept that we had in California - the kids didn't get bored because the breaks were just right. If I hear "I'm bored" one more time, my last nerve may get severed. We've had playdates here everyday this week, but the minute they leave, the phrase enters the vocabulary again. We're having a back-to-school party for the some of the 2nd graders and their families here on Sunday afternoon - so far, 26 people have said they are coming!! Should be fun and of course, the forecast is calling for a high of 100 degrees that day!

It will be nice to have a routine again - school for H and Mother's Day Out for McK who is in the middle of her terrible two stage! Today was pretty good, but yesterday I think the time-out chair was sore by the time we put her to bed! My goodness, and to think we'll go through this again with the next one! Well, I've got to go rest up for another day of "summer vacation" and terrible twos... later.
